H e l p i n g   S e n i o r s   M o v e

I am Barbara Plovsky, founder of Handling with Care. I graduated from the University of Maryland and earned a Masters of Science Degree in Speech Pathology from William Paterson University in New Jersey. 
I began my career working with stroke patients whose speech and communication skills were severely affected. 

Through life’s twists & turns, I spent the next 30 years in sales and marketing for major firms, such as GE, Hanes, MCI and Morgan Stanley. Never imagining this career path would carve the way for my future. Relocating 8 times and working in over 28 states, I became an “experienced mover”!  

After retiring in 2006, I felt a strong pull to return to where my career began, helping seniors. Handling with Care has fulfilled that wish for me. We have helped more than 400 seniors and their families transition to a new home. Our focus is to create a beautiful, familiar and comfortable home always considering our clients needs first and foremost. Our clients trust our integrity, know we will do anything to make their move an enjoyable experience and lastly, they know how much we care about the people we serve.  

I’d like to share with you the sentiments that Tanya, one of my team members recently expressed in a note to me – “I am so proud of our awesome team and being part of a company that has so much personal gratification for all of us. Side by side, serving the community - what an honor!!”
